About this service
Kriya refers to the six classical Shatkarma practices of Haṭha Yoga — Neti (nasal cleansing), Dhauti (digestive cleansing), Basti (colon irrigation), Nauli (abdominal churning), Trataka (concentrated gazing), and Kapalabhati (skull-shining breath). These are not supplementary practices — they are the foundational purifications upon which the entire edifice of advanced yoga is built.
The Haṭhayogapradīpikā states that without kriya, the pranic channels (nadis) remain blocked, and pranayama and meditation cannot achieve their full effect. At Tratak, kriya practices are taught safely under expert guidance — sequenced, adapted to your constitution, and introduced progressively so the body can integrate each practice before the next is added.
“The Shatkarmas purify the body's internal organs and pranic channels at a deep level that no diet or conventional detox can reach. When the nadis are clear, prana moves freely — and with it, energy, clarity, and the capacity for deep meditation.”
— Haṭhayogapradīpikā — Classical Yoga Text & Tratak Clinical Experience
