Understanding pcod / pcos
PCOD and PCOS affect up to 17.4% of young women in India — one of the most common hormonal conditions in women of reproductive age. Yet most are simply prescribed hormonal medication, which manages symptoms without reversing the underlying imbalance. The condition is driven by chronic stress, insulin resistance, poor sleep, and sedentary lifestyles — all of which yoga directly addresses at the root.
A 6-week clinical trial found that 90 minutes of daily yoga significantly reduced hirsutism, waist and hip circumference, and improved hormonal markers in women with PCOS. Our service focuses on regulating the endocrine system, reducing inflammation, and restoring menstrual health through a combination of yoga therapy, Ayurvedic nutrition, and lifestyle medicine.
“Meta-analyses suggest yoga therapy may decrease menstrual irregularity, clinical hyperandrogenism, and concentrations of fasting blood glucose and fasting insulin in women with PCOS, with promising benefits for managing stress, anxiety, and fatigue.”
